Terms of Service

By installing or using Verbatim, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.

Verbatim is a Chrome extension that lets you highlight text in AI platform responses and analyze them using debate modes (Critique, Alternative, Distill). Verbatim works across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity. Analysis is performed via third-party AI APIs.

You must create an account to use Verbatim's debate features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others.

You may not use Verbatim to analyze content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the terms of the underlying AI platforms. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Verbatim service.

Verbatim requires credits to run debates. Credits are purchased through the extension. All purchases are final unless required otherwise by law. Credits do not expire.

You retain ownership of any content you highlight or save in Verbatim. By using the service, you grant Verbatim a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not sell your content.

Verbatim connects to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Perplexity) and uses Supabase for data storage and Stripe for payments. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

If you provide your own API keys, those keys are stored locally on your device and are your responsibility. Verbatim does not transmit your API keys to our servers.

Verbatim is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated debate outputs. Always verify important information independently.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strictly Corporate LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Verbatim.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Verbatim after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard or email.
